Velvet is made by one independent developer, not a big company. Free apps usually pay for themselves with ads, subscriptions or your data – Velvet does none of that. A small one-time price keeps it that way: no ads, no account, no tracking, and new tools and fixes as free updates.
Windows 10 (version 1809 or newer) or Windows 11, 64-bit. Get it from Microsoft Store.
No. Everything happens on your PC. Velvet Link only needs the phone and the PC on the same Wi‑Fi.
Yes – any phone with a camera and a browser. Nothing to install on the phone. To put Velvet on the home screen, use Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android.
Only for PDF to Word – Velvet asks the Word on your PC to do the conversion, so nothing is uploaded. Without Word that one action is greyed out; everything else works without Office. Word, Excel and PowerPoint files to PDF need Office too – without it, To PDF is greyed out and says so.
Please do – use Send feedback in the Velvet window. It goes straight to us and every message is read.
Velvet places a picture of your signature or stamp on the page, like signing a printout. It isn't a certified electronic signature.
